Support Groups
Confidential. Empowering. Survivor-Centered.
Turning Pointe’s Support Group Services offer a confidential and supportive space where survivors can break the isolation, connect with peers, and explore topics related to domestic violence and sexual assault. Our curriculum-based groups are designed to support healing, resilience, and empowerment through guided activities and discussions.
What to Expect
Each support group provides:
- A safe, confidential environment for healing and connection.
- Curriculum-based sessions focused on emotional identification, healthy communication, grounding techniques, and resilience-building.
- Opportunities to learn practical life skills, such as financial independence for single parents or healthy relationship tools for teens.
- A chance to share needs, explore resources, and participate at your own comfort level.
Weekly Groups Offered
- Survivors of Domestic Violence
- Survivors of Sexual Assault
- Spanish-Speaking Survivors / Sobrevivientes de Habla Hispana
- Youth Ages 13–17
- Online Support Group
All groups are led by trained advocates, volunteers, and interns who are experienced in working with survivors and facilitating healing through structured curriculum.
Why Support Groups Matter
- Survivors gain strength, hope, and resilience from connecting with others who understand.
- Those currently experiencing abuse find courage, support, and a path toward safety.
- Teens learn to express themselves, manage emotions, and build healthy relationships.
- Participants develop tools to interrupt cycles of violence and prioritize safety and stability.
Who Can Join?

- Have stayed at Turning Pointe’s emergency shelter or used other services
- Be experiencing abuse now or have in the past
